My Rhythm Art could be called Abstract but what is most important to me is one shape next to another and their relationship. I often work with geometric or abstract shapes but they easily swing into recognizable things–things we see in the world–and then swing back. Color is as important as shape. I work with large, little, major, minor, loud, quiet, bright and muted images. Texture and 3-D space comes with my use of collage and mixed media. If my work relates to something in particular, I name it as such, otherwise I just number my Rhythm Paintings.
